Cardinia Diwali Festival @ Gumbuya World
Diwali Festival in 2018 will be in style and will be bigger than any community based event in the South Eastern region of Victoria.
Many months of strenuous efforts, meticulous planning, and most of all unanimous support where communities joined forces and came together to make it Cardinia Shire’s biggest event of 2018.
IACC members have explored the idea of Diwali in Australia. Out of the incubator was born a concept of celebrating the Festival of Lights by promoting Cardinia Shire’s tourism, wildlife and amusements making it a truly inclusive public event thus far.
It indeed is a landmark location of Victoria and we are proud to host the CARDINIA DIWALI FESTIVAL 2018 at GUMBUYA WORLD. A special thanks to Jason Wood (Federal Member from LaTrobe) for creating this massive opportunity for the community that supports IACC.
Celebrating Diwali is yet another opportunity for IACC to showcase the humble effort of embedding the flamboyant and vibrant Indian Culture deeper into the Australian society that values respect of freedom and dignity of the individual, freedom of religion, equality of men and women, equality of opportunity for individuals regardless of their race, religion and ethnic background (Reference: Australian Values Statement).
